Shaun McMillan

Shaun McMillan is a Fayetteville, North Carolina native and co-founder of Fayetteville Police Accountability Community Taskforce (P.A.C.T.). Since 2016 Fayetteville P.A.C.T. has worked to end mass incarceration with a focus on police transparency & accountability.

A big believer in the moral arc of the universe, Shaun’s activism has extended to support of healthcare, immigrants rights, LGBTQ rights & anti-racism campaigns alongside groups like Cape Fear Indivisible and Equality NC.

A high school history teacher, Shaun holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Elizabeth City State University. He is also a retired US Army Officer, airborne ranger & three-time combat veteran. Shaun is no stranger to police accountability advocacy, having spent years under the umbrella of the North Carolina Statewide Police Accountability Network (NCSPAN) and aligned with organizations like the National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (NACOLE).

He is currently engaged in efforts to establish a Citizen Police Oversight Authority (CPOA) in Fayetteville along with promotion of several other local police & judicial reform measures
