Quanta Monique Edwards
Quanta Monique Edwards- Board Member since 2021, previously served as a volunteer. UNC Chapel Hill graduate and began her career creating political agenda to make North Carolina a great place to live, work and play. One of her contributions to support the needs of North Carolina is a published health care report, Making Health Care Work for Small Businesses in North Carolina.
She foresaw an opportunity to help NC meet the non-existent and unaffordable health insurance options plaguing the State. The report offers suggestions on how to fill the health care insurance gap not met by NC Health Insurance Exchange or the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. After identifying that NC was about to experience a housing crisis, she decided to become the owner of a real estate business. She owns NC Living Realty and provides residential & commercial services for those who desire to live in Wake and Durham County.
She has earned her Graduate REALTOR® Institute, Workforce Housing Specialist, Certified Military Residential Specialist, At Home With Diversity, and Pricing Strategy Advisor designations. She specializes in helping those who served in all branches of the Armed Forces purchase or sell their homes, finding homes specifically for those in need of affordable housing options and is identified as a REALTOR® who operates on the highest level to work with both buyers and sellers of various incomes in the real estate industry.
She serves as a board member of the NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation and is in her second term as the Foundation’s Marketing Chair. Her duties include fundraising, raising awareness about the affordable housing needs and providing resources across the state.
Currently, she is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®,North Carolina Association of REALTORS®, Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® and currently serves as an Associate Dean for Triangle REALTORS® Leadership Academy, Committee member for the RRAR Government Affairs Committee, RRAR Professional Development Committee and RRAR Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Subcommittee Chair. Monique received the 2020 NC Real Estate Commission Phillip T. Fisher Award as an achievement for her outstanding level of professional development in the real estate industry.
In 2020, Monique served on Governor Roy Cooper’s She Changed the World Planning Committee to commemorate the 100 the anniversary of woman suffrage where she represented the NC State Coalition of the National Council of Negro Women. Lastly, in 2020, Monique ran as a Democrat for the NC House of Representatives for District 38.
